Akufo-Addo appoints Dr. Felix Anyah as Chairman of the Board of Ho Teaching Hospital

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo was re-named Dr. Felix Kwaku Anyah appointed as Chairman of the Board of Ho Teaching Hospital.

This was done in consultation with the State Council after his outstanding work as first chairman of the first board of directors of the Ho Regional Hospital, which was upgraded to a teaching hospital in April 2009.

After taking the oath of office and secrecy, Dr. Anyah expressed gratitude to the President for the opportunity to serve and pledged the Board’s commitment to run the hospital effectively and efficiently.

The Executive Chairman of the Holy Trinity Medical Center also promised to develop the teaching hospital into an enviable facility.

He said he will provide the hospital with a quaternary service that will work with international accreditation bodies such as JCI International to promote medical / health tourism for the hospital and the Volta region, and to make Ghana a center for medical tourism.

“I’m interested in health and wellness tourism,” he said, “with my experience in health, medical and wellness tourism is a vehicle that, if we take it seriously and use the right mechanisms, we will attract and change customers from the sub-region can our finances. “

Other board members are: Ernest Yao Gaewu, lawyer; Dr. Emmanuel Kofi Amponsah, doctor; Dr. Prince Sodoke Amuzu, Allied Health Specialist; Dr. Audu Rauf, pharmacist; Felix Nyante, Chairman of the Nursing and Midwifery Council; Prof. John Gyapong, Representative of the University Council; Dr. Sylvia Ayele Deganus, Representative of the University Council; Victor Andy Danku, private entrepreneur and Dr. John Tampouri, CEO Ho Teaching Hospital.

The board was inaugurated by Health Minister Kwaku Agyeman-Manu.
