Ghanaian left-back Baba Abdul Rahman has left Chelsea for Reading championship club.

Rahman couldn’t seal his place in Thomas Tuchel’s plans despite his impressive preseason.

Rahman has received a number of loans after joining Chelsea from Bundesliga club Augsburg in 2015 for a fee of £ 22m.

Rahman made his Chelsea debut in a 4-0 Champions League win against Israeli Maccabi Tel Aviv.

The Ghanaian’s contract with Chelsea expires next year. Chelsea are reportedly hoping to remove his left back from Stamford Bridge, but a career revival in the colors of Reading and the upcoming Afcon in Cameroon could see him return to north London.
