CAF CHAMPIONS LEAGUE: Wydad beat Hearts 6–1

The CAF Champions League campaign for Hearts of Oak’s came to an end when they were beaten 6-1 by Wydad Athletic Club in Cassablanca on Sunday.

Wydad has successfully made up for his 1-0 defeat in the first leg against Hearts (Phobia)
Accra wins 6-2 overall.

The result suggests Hearts of Oak will be relegated to the CAF Confederation Cup, while Wydad
Promotion to the group stage, also known as the “money zone”.

Simon Msuva and Aymane El Hassouni each scored a goal in favor of Wydad in the first 10 minutes of play. Wydad continued to put pressure on the Phobians and Wydad’s Achraf Dari scored a third goal in the 20th minute before Yahya Jabrane converted a penalty to make it 4-0 before half-time.

In the second half, Wydad increased his record to 5 courtesy defenders Ayoub El Amloud
Msuva of Wydad scored the sixth goal in the 61st minute.

Patrick Razak, however, managed to score a consolation goal for the Phobians when the
the game was coming to an end.

The result for Hearts of Oak makes it their worst defeat in Africa yet.
