Daily guide loses staff
A journalist, Thomas Samuel Fosu Jr., who was once a parliamentary correspondent for the private Daily Guide Network, has been confirmed dead.
The sad incident occurred around 8:15 p.m. on Thursday, August 26, 2021 at the Greater Accra Regional Hospital, popularly known as Ridge Hospital, when he was being brought into the facility from work.
The deceased was at work Thursday attending a press conference held by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) general secretary John Boadu at the party’s headquarters in Asylum Down.
He then returned to write the story, which around 5:30 p.m. he complained about some weaknesses in his body.
A colleague took him to the Nima Government Hospital, where he was referred to the Greater Accra Regional Hospital but pronounced dead minutes after arriving.
His body was deposited in the hospital morgue pending autopsy.
The cause of his death was not yet known.
However, his family was informed.
