• Mr. Mahama stated that the nation is in need under the NPP

• He added that, despite the NPP’s claims that times are good, citizens are suffering

• The former president has tasked the government with rectifying the situation rather than blaming him for the difficulties

The standard bearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) of 2020, John Dramani Mahama, declared in his “Thank You Tour” in the Upper West Region that he was not interested in the current hardship in Ghana as claimed by the ruling government Share.

The former president noted that despite the propaganda by the Akufo-Addo government, which claims it has improved the standard of living in the country, citizens say times are tough.

He added that despite taking office in 2016, the NPP is still finding a way to blame him for the nation’s misfortunes. He has therefore instructed the government to concentrate more on keeping its campaign promises to the Ghanaians.

“Times are tough, although the New Patriotic Party, NPP, says times are not tough, but it is me who is giving Ghanaians the impression that times are tough. I wonder what logic they have that Ghanaians cannot feel need unless John Mahama comes and tells them, ”said Mahama, who denied the NPP’s claim that it was raising awareness of the need in the country.

According to the former president, the NPP has tried to downplay his achievements and continued to spread lies to damage his legacy.

While meeting with church leaders in Wa as part of his tour, Mr. Mahama stated that poor management of the economy had led to the hardship in the country.
