Dr. Kwame Kyei reportedly handed viral audio of alleged match-fixing to the Ghana Police Service’s CID.

A few days ago an audio leaked claiming that Dr. Kwame Kyei, along with some former members of Asante Kotoko’s management, tried to bribe referees to make the Ghanaian giants lose their FA Cup game against Berekum Chelsea.

The name of Dr. Kwame Kyei was mentioned in the three-minute audio chat along with former club manager Yves Coker and former operations manager Perusha.

After a thorough investigation, it was found that the tape was made to enhance the reputation of Dr. Harm Kwame Kyei. According to Kessben Sports, Dr. Kwame Kyei did not leave this unchecked as he reported the incident to the criminal investigation department so that those responsible can be dealt with.

According to a deep-throat source from Dr. Kwame Kyei, as KessbenOnline reports, there have been three suspects so far, all of whom claim to be fans of the team.

Yves Gyambibi Coker, assistant to the CEO of Kotoko, promised to get to the bottom of the matter, to clear their names and to take care of the people behind the audio.

“We’re going to get to the root of the audio this time and I will prefer that no one intervenes as this time I’ll be stubborn to save my smeared reputation,” wrote Coker on Facebook
