EXCLUSIVE: Wydad AC supporters are writing to the club to open the gate for the Hearts of Oak fight

Wydad AC’s fan group has officially written to the club, requesting that the gates be opened to spectators on Sunday when the club hosts Hearts of Oak.

The Moroccan champions will face the Ghanaian champions in the second leg of the CAF Champions League playoffs this weekend in Casablanca.

When Wydad AC visited Accra Sports Stadium for the first leg last Sunday, the team played in front of Hearts of Oak fans, where they lost 1-0 at the end of a very difficult competition.

Although fans in Morocco initially knew they would have the opportunity to gather the team from the stands of their home stadium, a new government policy means that all games will be played behind closed doors.

As a result, Wydad AC won’t get any extra support from the stands this weekend when they host Hearts of Oak.

Dissatisfied with the club’s fans, they have sent an official letter to the club’s management and board of directors asking them to support the team at the stadium.
