FIFA WCQ 2022: Zimbabwe coach Norman Mapeza is not motivated to return the favor to Ghana

Zimbabwe’s interim coach Norman Mapeza is not motivated to return the favor against Ghana in the 2022 World Cup qualification.

The Warriors, who will receive the Black Stars at the National Sports Stadium in Harare on Tuesday, suffered a second straight Group G defeat when they lost 3-1 to the Black Stars at Cape Coast Stadium.

After three games so far, Zimbabwe is bottom of the group.

“You can only get revenge in boxing, not in football, so I can’t speak of revenge.”

“We’re going to play Ghana on Tuesday and we’re going to do our best and try to get a result and not revenge,” said the former Chippa United mentor on Saturday.

In direct comparison, Ghana and Zimbabwe have faced each other in seven games since 1996.

The Black Stars have recorded four wins versus one for the Warriors while two games are tied.
