As International Youth Day is celebrated today, it is important to remember that the influence of youth around the world is such an important tool in global reforms to create right systems, make right decisions, and get things right bring. The conversation about youth participation in global development and leadership cannot stop. The impact of Youth is enormous and cannot be underestimated. It is therefore in a good direction to foresee an important day like the International Youth Convention to celebrate, honor and greet the diverse works, actions and impacts of youth in our world. Every year August 12th is dedicated to the International Youth Convention. The date mentioned is mostly observed worldwide in series and various interconnected programs, activities, events, among other things, to celebrate the day. This year 2021 will be a special theme for the celebration of World Youth Day. The theme, entitled “Transforming Food Systems: Youth Innovation for Human and Planetary Health,” is one that comes up in time, even though the whole world is at war with the COVID-19 pandemic

The world’s success will not be achieved without the meaningful participation of young people. There is a great need for inclusive support mechanisms to ensure that youth continue to intensify their efforts, individually or collectively, to restore the planet, protect life, while making conscious and conscious efforts to integrate biodiversity into the transformation of food systems. With the world’s population growing, it is advisable that recognized and relevant stakeholders consciously make numerous choices in order to produce large quantities of healthy food using sustainable approaches that must not endanger the planet and human life. Population health is very important in managing food system challenges, especially diet-related diseases such as diabetes, obesity, and others.

The current topic “Transforming Food Systems: Youth Innovation for Human and Planetary Health” must be made available to young people through education, innovation and entrepreneurship. Young people need to use this globally recognized and celebrated day to discover their potential, skills, talents, skills, competencies and other positive things in order to make the world a better place for everyone.

The development of any society depends on its human resources, a resource that is very capable and eager to shoulder the progress of society. It is known all over the world that youth are the best human resource that contributes immensely to the development of society. This is the most active and productive age in anyone’s life. The world can never be a world without the true recognition and celebration of its main factor and driving force, youth. When we choose to celebrate the youth we choose to celebrate the world, we are equally reminded that our society is worth sacrificing, it is worth doing our best for a thriving society , for a society that fails to celebrate progress. That is why it is important to celebrate the heroes of the world. Which is the youth.

The United Nations Youth Association Ghana also celebrates this day in recognition of the importance of UN Security Council Resolution 2250, which encourages young people to empower and encourage themselves by addressing their situation and then taking action to access their resources improve and change their awareness through their beliefs, values and attitudes.

The youth of today hold the future. The future can only be bright if young people are the focus of every manager. The young people must be deployed in the right places to participate in the decision-making process at all levels. The youth must be disciplined. The youth must understand and obey values, must not be in a hurry to earn money with dubious means

This will not be achieved without the full participation of young people. The greatest asset of any nation is its youth, there is no doubt of that. It is therefore worth celebrating the contributions and recognizing the efforts of youth in Ghana and around the world. This will, in my opinion, help us to see the impact of some youth initiatives on our economy and encourage others to do the same.

UNYA-GH, for example, has some of its youth MPs and ministers who have a number of positive effects on their constituencies. This means that more of these initiatives could be carried out if we are financially encouraged and rewarded. Against this background, the United Nations Youth Association Ghana, in cooperation with its parent organization “UNA Ghana”, recognizes that integrative support mechanisms are necessary to ensure that young people continue to participate and become individually or collectively involved in restoring individual nations as and when is necessary.

Even if the majority of young people face several challenges before they find their way. Through perseverance, discipline, and the grace of God, many of these youth are able to endure difficult moments, especially in the educational field. Many adults today can boldly testify to the real challenges young people face as they grow up, especially in developing countries like Ghana, where options are limited. But most teenagers can get on their feet from myriad frustrations and still try until they succeed. It is therefore a worthy occasion for all adults to attend this celebration.

Empowerment is a necessary determinant of young people’s participation in decision-making processes at national, regional, and district or local levels. To ensure integration into any social intervention program, the policy process should include an all-encompassing exchange of knowledge and active participation of stakeholders, including youth. For a better future of our beloved country – Ghana, the involvement of young people in national decision-making should not be left out.

Therefore, young people should be given the chance and opportunity to be at the forefront of global change and innovation. When we are empowered, we can be the key figures for development and peace. However, if we stay on the fringes of society, we will all become impoverished. We therefore hope that the governments of Ghana will ensure that all young people have every opportunity to fully participate in the life of their societies by playing a minimal functional role and providing them with financial support when necessary. The youth symbolizes high energy, positivity and spirit to make things come true. Innovation should therefore be synonymous with youth.

The future of a country rests in the hands of the youth. At the International Youth Day, let’s use our energies and talents as our country’s youth with unsurpassed innovation to advance our sustainable development as people and make the world a better place. We all hope that with our efforts we will take our nation to new heights.

The leadership of UNYA Ghana advises the young people on this special day not to use social media platforms to incite insults and the fight against the leadership of this country.

In a society full of ignorance, only a few wise people succeed. We should thrive to be among the wise few, taking with us the talkative and those who have wasted their time unnecessarily. Young people need to stay away from negative uses of social media, insulting executives, and encouraging peer pressure.

The young people should note that it is not child’s play to be in a managerial position. Most presidents have managed to invest and build their nation to help the youth because they have some of their positive contributions and good communication skills.

Rather, young people should know their wealth and understand that the time has come for them to be part of the decision-making process at all levels, but that this can only be achieved through good behavior and good role models.

Young people have to take every opportunity and be big, criticize positively and constructively and their voice is heard.
