Hearts of Oak manager Eric Amponsah has announced that the Phobians have never been interested in signing Eric Ofori Antwi from Medeama SC.

Ofori Antwi, 26, was heavily linked to a move to the capital city club but Hearts was unable to officially apply for the former Ghanaian U20 goalkeeper.

In the heat of the transfer talks, the goalkeeper’s father even went public to apologize for the phobias.

However, Hearts of Oak coach Eric Amponsah has revealed to Accra-based radio station Peace FM that the Ghanaian double-winner was never interested in signing the Sunyani-born.

“We considered it one of the normal transfer rumors because at Hearts of Oak we have the best goalkeeper in the country in Richard Attah, who has even received a Black Stars appointment,” he told Peace FM.

Ofori Antwi is heavily linked to a move to Legon Cities.
