Ghanaian actor Van Vicker looks forward to teaching after he finishes his Masters.
According to the revered actor who graduated from the African University College of Communications (AUCC) a few weeks ago.
He told Jessica Opare Saforo and Kwaku David on Traffic Avenue on 97.3 Citi FM that his school failed to graduate him last year because of COVID-19. So he decided on a master’s degree and will complete it by December.
He added that he would like to give lectures before completing his PhD.
“After my master’s degree, I would like to give lectures for a while before I do my doctoral thesis” he said.
According to Van, who graduated from secondary school about twenty-four (24) years ago, his mother’s inability to finance his education prevented him from continuing his education.
A few weeks ago he posted on his Instagram page: “21 years later, I stand before you with 3 accomplishments during my graduation; glory to god. 1. Honors of the 1st class. 2. Best student in strategic communication. 3rd prize for the best communication student. “
“The above is related to my 2021 post on social media and is by no means presumptuous, but sincerely inspiring – I couldn’t enroll in college in 1997 because my single mother didn’t have the funds. If there had been free SHS back then, I would probably have graduated in 2000/2001. “ he added.
He further stated: “My career started and I was blessed, but as someone who enjoys education it was only a matter of time before I graduated. I am completing my Masters program this December and I am very motivated and determined to go further, God willing. I thank everyone who supported me and supported me on this path. # pedagogical #young godfather. “
