Former President and 2020 presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, will begin a tour of Ghana’s sixteen administrative regions on Tuesday to thank Ghanaians for their support and votes in the December 2020 elections.
Mr. Mahama, accompanied by National Executive Members of the NDC, will begin the tour from the capital of the Upper East Regional, Bolgatanga, continue to whale whales in the northeast region and from there to Tamale in the northern region.
As part of the first phase of the Thanks Tour program, the former president will also visit the Savanna and Upper West regions.
During the visit, President Mahama will meet with Chiefs and Queen Mothers, hold meetings with religious and opinion leaders, address regional and constituency managers and supporters of the NDC, and also interact with the media.
The first phase of the tour is expected to end on Monday, August 23, 2021.
