The Motor Transport and Traffic Department (MTTD), in collaboration with the Citi FM / TV team, seized another thirty-one (31) vehicles for various traffic offenses on the Kpone-Dawenya route of the N1 motorway during an ongoing special exercise.
This exercise is part of the police administration’s determination to combat reckless and careless driving and the blatant disregard of traffic regulations by some road users. It also aims to reduce road traffic accidents and the associated deaths, injuries and property damage on our roads.
During the exercise, 31 drivers whose vehicles have been seized will be brought to justice for violating several road traffic laws, including disregarding road markings, driving dangerous, driving on the verge, unauthorized use of sirens and rotating beacons. You will be tried in Ashaiman and Tema. In the meantime, their vehicles are being confiscated from the Tema Community 25 police station.
Some of the arrested drivers drove commercial vehicles, ministries, ministries and agencies (MDAs) vehicles, company and private vehicles.
The driver is advised to adhere to the road traffic regulations at all times in order to promote road safety.
