Police are taking a Nigerian man to court for texting someone’s wife. Sikiru Oluwaseun Jamiu was tried in the Ijebu-Ode District Court in Ogun state on Tuesday, October 26. The 38-year-old defendant committed the said crime on September 19, 2021 at 8:02 a.m., the police said. Although the case appears trivial, police said that Sikiru Oluwaseun Jamius’ behavior “constitutes and is punishable under Section 249 (d) of the Criminal Code, Revised Laws of Ogun State of Nigeria, 2006”.
