Rudolph Johnson, a rapper who appeared under the name Lil Marlo, was shot dead in Atlanta this weekend.
His age was given by different media as 27 and 30 years.
According to TMZ, Johnson was shot dead while driving on Saturday evening.
The police were called to the scene when their car collided.
“Police officers in Atlanta responded to the scene and immediately started their investigation,” a police officer told Billboard. “Investigators currently believe the victim was the target of the shootout and are working to determine the circumstances of the shootout.”
A spokesman for the quality control label, to which Johnson has been a member since 2017, also confirmed the death of the hip-hop artist on the Chicago Tribune.
His solo songs include “1st N 3rd”, “F **** em” and “9 + Z6ne = 1’5”. He also worked with Lil Baby and Gucci Mane on “The Load”.
“We did a song this morning at 4 a.m., brother,” rapper Lil Yachty wrote on Instagram on Saturday evening.
