Residents of Surulere, Lagos, woke to news of a suspected thief on his knees allegedly stealing power cables from a transformer.
It was found that a gang of thieves stole the transformer cable and repaired the Electric Distribution Company about a week ago.
Without the alleged thieves knowing that the cables were not yet connected, they returned to their mission to steal the new cables. They crept nearby in the late hours of the night to do their work.
It was rather unfortunate that one of the thieves got caught in the electric current that made him bend his knee while the other accomplices were on their heels.
Meanwhile, Pastor Paul Enenche of Dunamis Gospel Church International, DGCI, has refuted claims that his church was attacked by armed robbers.
Recall that the news reported that some armed men entered a branch of the church in the Bwari area council and attacked believers.
According to the clergyman, people spreading the news of the attack on his church should be very careful about what they say about the church or risk hellfire. He called the reports lies and advised his people not to listen to such negative reports.
He said, “There was demonic news that someone drew my attention to the fact that a devil church, not this church, was being attacked and believers were being attacked by armed men.
“We live in a world that strives for lies, especially on social media. I don’t know if 80 to 90 percent of the news there is true. We also live in a world where people expect evil for others. From a rooted heart of bitterness, all sorts of everything, the wickedness of the heart that is constantly expecting new evil.
