The local representative of the Ghanaian international Abdul Fatawu Issahaku has rebutted speculations about a move of the teenager to Dreams FC from the Ghanaian Premier League.

17-year-old Issahaku has reportedly signed a pre-contract with Portuguese club Sporting Lisbon through his parents due to his tender age.

Reports in the Ghanaian press this week claimed that the U20 AFCON winner joined Dreams on a three-month loan deal.

However, Prince Omar, the player’s local agent, has told Pure FM from Kumasi that the youngster has not joined any club in Ghana.

“Dreams didn’t contact me or whatever. Fatawu is a player from Sporting Lisbon. They signed Fatawu for three years, ”he told Pure FM from Kumasi.

Fatawu was once capped by Ghana in the senior team, but played in games for the Black Stars B. He won the U20 WAFU Zone B tournament with Ghana and the U20 AFCON title in 2021. He was in two tournaments voted best player.
