The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has decided to respect its founder, the late flight lieutenant Jerry John Rawlings, with an extraordinary virtual symposium to extol his life and celebrate his legacy.
The symposium will take place on Monday, January 25th, at the Kama Conference Center in Labone Junction, Accra.
A claim reiterated by the Ghana News Agency, confirmed by Mr. Kakra Essamuah, director of communications for the NDC, said the symposium keynote speakers were Alhaji Huudu Yahaya, a member of the NDC council of elders, and Ms. Aanaa Enin, a former diplomat and former Minister of the Provisional National Defense Council (PNDC).
Various speakers include Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo, National Chair of the NDC; Haruna Iddrisu, Chair of the NDC Caucus in Parliament; Mr Johnson Asiedu-Nketia, NDC Secretary General, and Mr Alban SK Bagbin, Speaker of Parliament.
It was said that the final comments would be provided by former President John Dramani Mahama.
The claim encouraged all members to carefully agree to the Covid-19 conventions.
It has been found that the program is broadcast live by every public organization.
It said the leadership of the NDC would, if the matter remains unchanged, report back to supporters and individual relatives and ladies that the recording on the remaining human parts of our fallen founder will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, January 25th, and will continue until March 14th January would last for hours at about the same time.
The claim said that it would be done carefully, in accordance with the Covid-19 conventions, as the body lies at rest in the Accra International Conference Center.
