When Liverpool beat United, Stanchart Ghana wows audiences at +233

By now you know that Liverpool did an annihilation job at Manchester United on Sunday, beating the hosts at Old Trafford 5-0.

Yet far away in Accra, Ghana, there was a party mood to enjoy the game while the Standard Chartered Bank threw a nice shindig.

The +233 Jazz Bar and Grill was the setting where fans of both sides and neutrals ate, drank and witnessed the abuse in England.

The bank is 125 years old and aims to create an experience for customers and the general public. Of course, good music and a lot of good-natured banter, also for fans of the losing side, contributed to the atmosphere.

In a game that continued to build pressure on under-attack manager Ole Gunnar Solsjkaer, Stanchart-sponsored Liverpool were untouchable, much like the bank in Ghana.

In fact, the organization, which prides itself on being “there forever”, has informed everyone of their new and exciting promotion. GHS 125 is not celebrated alone, but given to everyone who opens a new account via the bank’s app, SC Mobile.

The event was moderated by JoySports duo George Addo Jr. and Gary Al-Smith.

Notable faces from Liverpool at the event included Dr. Kwame Baah-Nuako from the GNPC, Kojo Addae-Mensah from the Databank and many others.
